Thierry Amisse has been working wood since he was a teenager in Brittany, France.
Highly trained, with attention to detail, Thierry can repair almost any furniture, as well as design and create individual pieces. His specialty is antique restoration.
Thierry has experience with many species of wood, in addition to modern and ancient woodworking techniques.
Over the past 16 years in Austin, Texas, his clients have included antique dealers, private individuals, government offices, and non-profits.

Thierry is wonderful to work with, he is a consummate professional and a master of his craft. I took a 1934 Philco radio that had seen a very hard life, unprotected from the elements. Basically the woodwork was falling apart and I assumed beyond all hope. Thierry worked a miracle and I am pretty sure the radio woodwork didn't look this good when it was brand new.

Thierry is an artist. He traveled to our home to repair a hand-built German wardrobe with a lead mirror that we grew up moving (having its heavy mirror and 13 panels fall on us during the moves), and beautifully restored it to the first artisan's likely intent. It's perfect. And finally stable, lead mirror and all.
